Nurse Practitioner Joins Sports Health Northwest

Meet our exceptional nurse practitioner, Leah Gaedeke MSN FNP-BC, who brings over two decades of expertise to our Sports Health Northwest clinic in Portland, Oregon. Leah has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University and her Family Nurse Practitioner and Master of Science in Nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Leah has extensive experience and training in the field of neurology and neurosciences.  She has practiced in areas of general neurology, trauma, and neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis.  Leah has a reputation as an excellent researcher, diagnostician, and healthcare communicator.  She has an ability to make complex conditions easy to understand.  Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to helping patients navigate complex conditions, providing compassionate care and support.

 

At Sports Health Northwest, we are grateful to have Leah as part of our team.  She brings her extensive knowledge and experience to our practice.  We are confident that her effort to help our sports and musculoskeletal injured patients, as well as lead the Weight Loss and Metabolic Clinic will result in an outstanding clinical experience for our patients.  With her guidance, you can expect personalized, evidence-based strategies to help you achieve your health goals, while also addressing any underlying metabolic concerns.

 

From the beginning of her career, Leah Gaedeke has been driven by a desire to help others lead their best lives.  She firmly believes in utilizing every tool and medical resource available to empower individuals to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.  She directs the weight loss and metabolism program at Sports Health Northwest where she works diligently and thoughtfully to assist her patient’s efforts to lose weight, get stronger, feel better, and enjoy life more.  She utilizes her unique experience and training in neurology and as a family nurse practitioner to bring a unique approach to supporting her patients while coaching and motivating them towards their goals.   

 

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Leah leads an active and fulfilling life. She is an avid runner, cyclist, swimmer, and hiker.  She is often accompanied by her beloved dogs and family on various adventures.  Embracing the great outdoors, she finds solace and joy in nature, which further fuels her passion for promoting a healthier lifestyle.
